How it works.

Step 1.

Choose a high quality photograph(s) of your pet that represents his/her personality best.  It helps if this photograph is taken at eye level with your pet, in natural sunlight without harsh shadows. You know your pet best, so if a specific pose or perspective makes sense, go for it!  The better the photograph (ample lighting and clear details,) the better the portrait!

Step 2.

Determine the details: size, style and background of the piece. Consider where the piece will be placed or a favorite color when deciding on the background. Otherwise, Laura can choose what best pairs with your pet.

Step 3.

To be fair to both the client and the artist, a non-refundable down payment, 50% of the total, will be due prior to Laura starting the painting.  Contract will be filled out and signed by client and artist.

Step 4.

Painting/drawing begins!  Laura will contact and send a digital photograph of the work in progress to the client once during the creative process to ensure both the client and artist are on the same page in terms of the overall direction of the artwork.

Step 5.

When the portrait is complete, Laura will send one last digital photograph of the artwork for approval or any final minor adjustments (within reason), free of charge.

With approval, the artwork will be on its way to the client!
